Anders Wirén

 

Swedish set and costume designer based in Stockholm.

 

Following studies in Theatre History at Stockholm University, Foundation Arts and Crafts at Nyckelviksskolan and painting at Pernbys Målarskola he graduated  from the 3-year scenography education at the Dramatic Institute (DI) in Stockholm in 1989.

 

Since graduating he has been working with various assignments for theater, opera, film, tv, museums, interior design as well as a decorative painter.

 

Alongside the comissioned work he continues practicing as an artist in his studio and has exhibited in Sweden, France and Iceland. 

 

Recently he has also worked as a scriptwriter, with a libretto for opera. Timvikarien - a Care Taker Opera  which is currently available through Colombine Teaterförlag, Stockholm
